Designing In the Browser

While researching methodologies to design in the browser, I came across this article written by Meagan Fisher for 24 Ways back in 2009. One quote caught my attention as it addresses exactly what I’ve been dealing with for the last two weeks.

Is it so bad if some users get to see drop shadows and some don’t? Or if the rounded corners are missing for a portion of your audience?

If you can set this as an expectation, then delivering a mockup built in the browser could actually be used to demonstrate these differences. Combine all of this with some responsive mockups, and you really have something.
